Jake Vicencio Snags First Win on a Wild Saturday at Rockford

LOVES PARK, IL (Saturday, July 11, 2009) – Jake Vicencio held off a hard charging Allen Bekielewski to collect his first career win tonight in the Crap Scrappers Hornets main event on Cricket Wireless’ Mid Summer’s Night Scream at the Rockford Speedway. Doug Rose put on a great show in his legendary Green Mamba Jet Car.

Jake Vicencio held on to win the Crap Scrappers Hornets 15-lap swarm over Allen Bekielewski whose late race charge came up just a bit short. Vicencio felt the heat from Bekielewski on the last lap as the two drag raced to the finish coming out of turn four but he held on to top a 16 car field for his first career victory.

Jake’s father Mark Vicencio, Mark Johler and Solomon Barker rounded out the top five.

Jenny Prince outlasted all the other trucks, cars and vans to win in her AK47 van.

Tim Liston traveled from Aurora and topped the 11 car field in his Mazda3 to claim the Spectacular Drags title.

Team Mexico topped Team USA in Auto Soccer after a riveting sudden-death match.

Doug Rose burned up a transport van in an amazing fire display with his legendary Green Mamba car.

Mark Schroeder put on an awesome show with his famous ‘Felon’ monster truck popping wheelies and crushing cars in his freestyle display wowing the crowd.
