Whelen Championships to be Decided Saturday

It all comes down to this Saturday night, a season of fender-banging, wall-slamming excitement concludes with two extremely exciting point battles. Defending NASCAR Stanley Steemer Late Model Champion Jerry Gille holds a slim thirteen point advantage over seven time champ Ricky Bilderback. Gille has been hot as of late, recording his second win of the season last Saturday night. However, it has been argued that no driver has been hotter than ‘Driver X’ Jon Reynolds, Jr who finds himself just twenty six markers out of the top spot with five wins on the season.

Doug Bennett also found victory lane last Saturday night in Bargain Hunter Sportsman action with Fred Nason hot on his heels. The same can statement can be made for the point battle amongst the two veterans as Nason, a three time division champ finds himself on the outside looking in, trailing by just eight points heading into the final night of competition.

George Sparkman in the Budweiser American Short ! Trackers and Bobby Frisch in the Mtn Dew RoadRunners come into the final night of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action with comfortable advantages in the point standings. Last Saturday night saw thirty three RoadRunners flood the pit area with thirty making the call for the feature that miraculously ran caution free with tons of action packed between the green and checkered flags.
