Loves Park, IL- As the 63rd consecutive season of family entertainment draws closer at Rockford Speedway, competitors will gather at Forest Hills Lodge on Friday Night March 5 to be informed of exciting additions to the racing program for the 2010 season during their annual Orientation Meeting. Additionally a Tire Sale for both Hoosier and Goodyear racing tires will take place.

Doors will open at 5pm allowing teams to reserve pit stalls and reserve their car numbers for the upcoming season, a Rookie Meeting will take place at 6pm with the General Meeting commencing at 7pm. NASCAR Licenses as well as RACE Memberships will be available for purchase, last season’s NASCAR Point Fund at Rockford paid over $23,000 to area speed enthusiasts. RACE and Pit Stall forms are available on the track’s website.

Teams will also have their first chance to acquire racing tires for 2010, with the Late Model’s new Hoosier 800, Sportsman Goodyear 2862/2863 and Hoosier 890 (Modified), American Short Tracker Hoosier 790 and RoadRunner 16” Goodyear models being available. Doors will open at 5pm at the Forest Hills Lodge Illinois’ Room and sales will continue until 7pm.

Weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing action begins at the quarter mile high banked paved oval Saturday night April 24, a 200 lap enduro on April 10 and the 33rd annual Spring Classic April 18 will break the ice on the Midwest Race Season.
