During last Saturday’s Stone and Double T 200 Enduro, the Bargain Hunter sign in turn three of Rockford Speedway was destroyed, as not one, but two racecars blasted through the bulls eye logo of the popular local classified publication. It has been reported that both cars continued through the pit area and rejoined the field of 70 cars. The sign, which has been in place for two seasons had been glanced off of in past encounters but this is the first time it has been taken down during a collision. Track crews are hopeful to have the sign replaced by this Sunday’s 33rd annual Spring Classic; racing begins at 1pm and will feature the Big 8 Series Late Models and Mid-American Stock Cars.
