NASCAR Hometown Nights and School Bus Jump at Rockford Speedway

Loves Park, IL (May 5, 2010) Rockford Speedway kicks off the first of several NASCAR Hometown Nights on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 7:07pm. Residents of Caledonia, IL 61011, Capron, IL 61012, and Poplar Grove, IL 61065 are invited to the speedway for a night of racing action. Residents from those townships will enjoy 2 for 1 admission with proof of residency. May 15 is also Kids Night, any child age 11 and under from any zip code will be admitted free.

Saturday, May 15 is going to be an exciting night at the Rockford Speedway on top of weekly favorites, the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Mtn Dew Roadrunners, and Super Cups, the evening will also feature the School Bus Jump, Kid’s Candy Scramble on the track plus the Sam’s Drive-In Smokey Burnouts.

The School Bus Jump has become an annual tradition at Rockford Speedway preformed by Gary Oscarson. Last year Oscarson was able to successfully take flight in the School Bus, but was unable to clear a motorhome. Oscarson was able to walk away from the crash, the motorhome wasn’t so lucky.
