Nason’s Landscaping Father’s Day Special at Rockford Speedway

Loves Park, IL (June 16, 2010) The Original Trailer Race of Destruction and the Illini Midgets return to Rockford Speedway this Saturday for the Nason’s Landscaping Father’s Day Special. The racing action will also include the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Mtn Dew RoadRunners and the Sam’s Drive-IN Hare ‘N Hound.

Tempers flared this past Saturday with on track altercations in every division at the historic ¼ mile track, only time will tell if the passion and tempestuousness will be repeated. Meanwhile Tyler Deschaine of Loves Park will be battling against Roscoe’s Derrick Gough in the Illini Midget’s, last week both competitors had top five finishes.

The Original Trailer Race of Destruction, a long time fan favorite, will also be returning to Rockford this Saturday. Chuck Deery, son of Rockford Speedway owner Jody Deery, first introduced the trailer race to America and the spectators at Rockford Speedway in 1984. Deery first encountered the trailer race concept in Europe, and knew they’d be a hit back home.

Reserved tickets are $18 for adults, ages 11 and under are $9, General Admission Bleacher Seating is $15 for adults, ages 11 and under are $5.
