Loves Park, IL (July 14, 2010) It’s another NASCAR Hometown Night at Rockford Speedway, the residents of Belvidere, Cherry Valley, Garden Prairie, Harvard, Hebron and Woodstock, Illinois will receive 2 for 1 admission with proof of residency. The racing action will include Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Budweiser American Short Trackers, Mtn Dew RoadRunners and Super Cups plus the Christmas Tree Race.
Eight of our drivers in Saturday night’s races are from Belvidere including American Short Tracker point’s leader Kyle Lapier and second place Nick Cina Jr. only two points separate the competitors. Sportsman driver Ron Morris is also a resident of Belvidere, Morris is currently second in the point’s standings. Brett McCoy is also from Belvidere and is currently second in the RoadRunner points standings.
The racing action this Saturday begins at 7:07pm and Kids Night events will include presents from Santa, and the Kiddie .5k Mini-Marathon. Regular adult admission is $10, while children ages 11 and under will be admitted free for Kids Night.
