Loves Park, IL (August 11, 2010) This Saturday the Late Model drivers will battle against each other in the Match Race. The participating drivers are those currently in the top eight points positions, Tim Sargent, Jon Reynolds Jr., Jerry Gille, Mike Lloyd, Eddie May, Jacob Gille, Wayne Freimund, and Mikie Breiner.

The drivers are already looking forward to the showdown, points leader Tim Sargent driver of the 39 said, “It’s going to be fun, it’ll be different”.

Driver X Jon Reynolds Jr. said, “I think it’s a great idea, it should be a lot of fun, I’m looking forward to it, it’ll be a lot of fun for the fans!”

Defending track champion Jerry Gille driver of the 99 is confident that he will do well in the Match Race, “Right now we’re really, really fast, if we keep four tires on it we’ll whip some butt!”

The Match Race is set up as a bracket system. The line up is as follows: Round One Tim Sargent vs Mikie Breiner, Jon Reynolds Jr. vs Wayne Freimund, Jerry Gille vs Jacob Gille, Mike Lloyd vs Eddie May. Winners of Round One will go on to compete against each other until the last man standing wins.

The racing action begins at 7:07pm and will include the Late Models, Budweiser American Short Trackers, Mtn Dew RoadRunners, Lengends, the Australian Pursuit plus the Late Model Match Race. Adult General Admission is $10, General Admission for children ages six to 11 is $5 and children five and under are admitted free.
