Special; Rockford, IL - WREX-TV 13 will present the Winston "No Bull" Night of Thrills at Rockford Speedway on Saturday Night, September 19th.

The champions of the NASCAR Roadrunner, Winged Women-On-Wheels, Jammin' Slammer divisions and the Roadrunner Challenge Series will be determined in their final points races of the 1998 season.

A big part of the evening's on-track action will be provided by Papa John's Pizza Double-Decker Cars, a Dukes of Hazard Jump, the Fox 39 Transit Terror School Bus Demolition Derby, the WXXQ 98.5 Thunder Mountain Figure 8 Train race, Spectator Drags, Auto Football and Monster Trucks.

There will be rides in the Monster Trucks for the race fans beginning at 6:00 p.m. and the first race will get the green flag at 7:30 p.m. sharp.

Special; Rockford, IL - The "McLeod USA Publishing NASCAR Thunder 200." That's the name of the 200-lap main event for the NASCAR Winston Racing Series late-model stock cars at Rockford Speedway's 33rd Annual Winston National Short Track Championships which are scheduled for September 24-27, 1998.

A long time supporter of NASCAR WRS racing at the Rockford facility, McLeod USA very recently came "on-board" as the evening sponsor.

The McLeod USA Publishing NASCAR Thunder 200" will be the main event of the Saturday (September 26) night WNSTC program. Also on the Saturday night docket is the "GMC 50" for the American Race Trucks and qualifying races for the NASCAR RE/MAX Challenge Series and the Mid-American Stock Car Series. Their main events are set for Sunday afternoon September 27th.

Racing actually begins Friday (September 25th) with seven different classes of stock cars chasing the checkered flag.
