Three Bullets and One Thousand Dollars on the Line at Rockford

Loves Park, IL- Former Sportsman Champion Fred Nason has announced the formation of the “Nason’s Landscaping Fastest Bullet Award” for the 2011 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season at Rockford Speedway. The driver earning the most fast qualifying times throughout the season will receive a vintage, hand painted artillery shell as well as a cash bonus at year’s end.

“I wanted to create a way to reward the teams that top the speed charts each and every week.” Commented Nason. “Everyone loves getting a trophy bullet, and who doesn’t love a little extra cash for their efforts?” Drivers in the NASCAR Late Models, Sportsman and American Short Trackers will all be gunning for the top spot during qualifying in hopes of earning their share of the posted one thousand dollars in bonuses. Five hundred dollars awaits the Late Model recipient while the Sportsman and American Short Tracker divisions will see two hundred and fifty dollars go to each “Nason’s Landscaping Fastest Bullet Award” winner.

The 2011 NASCAR season officially gets underway this Saturday night April 23 with a full racing program starting at 7:07pm, qualifying begins at 6pm.
