Race fans will have the chance to win $250 from Gilley’s Heating and Cooling this Saturday night at Rockford Speedway. Upon entering the speedway, fans will be invited to fill out an entry form before 8pm, selecting the top four finishers in order of the NASCAR Stanley Steemer Late Model feature, during Round I of the Gilley’s Cool 5 Series. A drawing will be held after the feature event of those that have the order correct, with $250 going to the winning fan, if the prize is not won it will carry over to the next Gilley’s Cool 5 event, Saturday June 25.

Racing Returns to Rockford Saturday Night, Dollar Beer
After a one week break for “The Concert”, the sound of engines and fun will once again fill the grandstands at Rockford Speedway as all four NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions will be in action, fighting for their share of the $12,500 Gilley’s Cool 5 Series Point Fund. Many feel that Tim Sargent will once again be the man to beat in Late Model competition, setting fast time every night in 2011 and recording the feature win during the last feature event held May 7. Meanwhile Kyle Shear, Jerry Gille, Ryan Carlson and Jon Reynolds, Jr all look to contend for the Championship as well. Late Models, Sportsman, American Short Trackers, RoadRunners and the RoadRunner Smokey Burnouts are on tap as well as the first Dollar Beer Night of the Season. Spectator Gates open at 5, qualifying begins at 5:55 and the Stateline Staffing Services Dashes Go Green at 7:07.
