This is the 10th anniversary of the 9-11 attack on our nation and we want to honor those who put their lives at stake every day. There will be a special opening ceremony this Saturday night which will include many area public safety agencies. Two pieces of steel from ground zero will be marched out onto the track by bagpipers with colorguard members behind the steel. There will be an invocation, taps will be played, the ringing of the fire bell, a 21 gun salute and the national anthem will then be performed, after which all safety vehicles will be paraded off the track.
