Saturday Night June 23 is shaping up to be quite the night at Rockford Speedway as Cintas presents Scouts Night. All scouts in uniform will be admitted free to the races. For the first time ever, we will host a Tough Truck Tug of War competition following feature races, pitting trucks against one another in an all out Tug of War. Saturday night also marks the return of open wheeled excitement as the Illini Racing Series Midgets take to the high banks. Racing action includes the NASCAR Stanley Steemer Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, RockStar Energy RoadRunners plus the Sam’s Drive-In Hare ‘N Hound Race.

Spectator Gates open at 5, qualifying begins at 5:55 with the Stateline Staffing Services Dashes going green at 7:07pm. Adult general admission tickets are just $12, students ages 12-17 are $8, kids 6-11 $5 with children ages 5 and under admitted free.

FASTOR PASTOR RACES WEDNESDAY
The annual Fastor Pastor Races will take center stage Wednesday night June 27. Fifteen area pastors are ready to test their ability and faith under the lights Wednesday night. The RoadRunner Super Summer Series, Bandits, Winged Women on Wheels, MacCloskey Kesler & Associates Spectacular Drags, Figure 8’s and Misfits will all be in action as well. Adult general admission tickets are $8, students ages 12-17 $6, ages 6-11 are $4 with kids 5 and under free. Gates open at 5:30, qualifying at 6:25 first race is at 7:07pm

TWO BIG NIGHTS OF FIREWORKS
The area’s biggest and best ground and aerial FIREWORKS display will take place on Saturday June 30 and Wednesday July 4. June 30 plays host to Round II of the Gilley’s Cool 5 Series with the running of the Stanley Steemer Star Spangled 76 for the Late Models. Independence Day July 4 will be highlighted by the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, a race in total darkness for the RoadRunner Super Summer Series.
