NEW TRACK RECORD AND RCH BONUS UP FOR GRABS AT ALL-STAR 100

Steve Strasburg of Race Car Help has lent his support to this Saturday’s Miller Lite All-Star 100 at Rockford Speedway. The Super Late Model fast qualifier will be awarded a $100 product certificate as well as $100 cash on behalf of RCH. With the big horsepower engines and new Hoosier Racing Tire Compound (F-25 and F-48) being utilized at Rockford for the first time, many think the track record of 12.772 seconds (82.305MPH) held by Brian Johnson, Jr may be surpassed.

“This event has a great history and it is always great to see the Super Late Models at Rockford.” Stated Strasburg. Race Car Help is a full service race shop, specializing in chassis support is located in Beloit, WI and can be reached at 608-362-1700 or online at www.racecarhelp.com.

The All-Star 100 is one of the Midwest’s oldest traditions, first being contested in 1978 by the ARTGO Challenge Series. Past winners include Dick Trickle, Mark Martin, Joe Shear, Dave Watson, Eddie Hoffman, Butch Miller, Ross Kenseth, Larry Schuler and Al Schill. Two former winners, Rich Bickle (1989) and Ryan Carlson (2010) are entered for the July 14 event. Last year’s winner Erik Jones is unable to defend the title as he is competing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series event this weekend.
