A full night of short-track racing excitement, food and fundraising is on the horizon this Saturday night at Rockford Speedway! It’s Tebala Shrine Night this Saturday night, featuring racing with the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Miller Lite American Short Trackers and Rockstar Energy Drink Roadrunners. Also returning to the track this week will be the American Super Cup Series and the INEX Legends. Saturday night also marks the return of the Charity Corn Boil! The Corn Boil starts at 5 PM and Corn is just “a buck an ear.” Additional donations will be accepted along with the $1 for each Corn Purchase. Proceeds from the Corn Boil will go to the REACT Foundation and the Tebala Shrine. Gates open Saturday night at 5 pm, with racing at 7:07 pm. Adult general admission is $12, Students 12-17 are $8, children 6-11 are $5 while kids 5 and under are free!

ENTRIES BEGIN TO ROLL IN FOR THE NATIONAL SHORT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS!
The countdown continues as we are merely six weeks away from “One Great Racing Weekend,” The 48th Annual National Short Track Championships! The entries have already begun to roll in for the weekend’s main event, the 200 lap Super Late Model race. Among the early entrants are two former champions, Josh Vadnais and Jeremy Lepak. Vadnais, one of only two Minnesota drivers to win the prestigious event, topped three-time winner Eddie Hoffman and seven-time Rockford Speedway track champion Bobby Wilberg for the trophy back in 2008. Lepak, one of only six drivers to win the NSTC crown multiple times, won back-to-back NSTC 200 lappers in 2006 & 2007. The 48th Annual National Short Track Championships get underway Friday night September 27th and continue Saturday night September 28th & Sunday afternoon September 29th.
