The time has come for The 22nd Annual Bahama Bracket Nationals at Rockford Speedway! The Bahama Bracket Nationals take place this Saturday and Sunday October 12 & 13, featuring cars and drivers from all across the Midwest, racing against the clock and each other. Late Models, Modifieds, Sportsman, Hornets, Trucks and more from both asphalt and dirt speedways will qualify and then be separated into as many as six brackets to race against each other. Sunday’s Main Events are 50 laps each, with each feature winner having the choice of prize money or a trip for two to the Bahamas! Spectator Gates open Saturday at 5:15 pm, with racing slated for 6 pm. Heats and Bermuda Bashes for all cars will be contested Saturday night. Adult admission is $12, with students (12-17) $8, children (6-11) $5 and kids 5 & under free. Following the races Saturday, it’s the ‘Last Blast Race Party’ featuring the return of ‘Sing for Your Start’, where drivers have a chance to sing their way into their 50 lap feature on Sunday. The green flag flies at Noon on Sunday, with Last Chance Racing, the 50 lap features and the Fabulous ‘Foo Foo Races’ for fun and prizes! Admission prices Sunday are $15 for adults, $10 for Students (12-17), and $5 for children (6-11) with kids 5 and under free! We hope to see you next weekend in ‘the Bahamas!’

Overnight Parking will once again be permitted during the 22nd Annual Bahama Bracket Nationals at Rockford Speedway. The Overnight Lot officially opens at 5 PM Thursday evening. For those visiting from out of town that prefer the comforts of a hotel, Holiday Inn Express in Loves Park is offering discounted room rates for Bahama Bracket weekend. Just mention ‘Rockford Speedway’ or ‘Bahama Bracket Nationals’ when reserving your room to receive the discount. DON’T MISS THE FINAL RACE OF 2013 NEXT WEEKEND!
The final event of the 2013 racing season at Rockford Speedway is just one week away! The 33rd Annual Goblin 250 enduro for four cylinder vehicles is coming up next Sunday October 20 at 1 pm. The race features over 100 four cylinder cars, trucks, vans and station wagons in a 250 lap slugfest. The first 125 laps will be run on the oval, with the final 125 laps run on the tricky ‘Monza’ course. There’s still time for you to build your enduro car! Damaged Goods presents the “Wreckless in Rockford” Demo Derbies, along with the ‘Big Swarm’ Demo for four cylinder cars that earlier raced in the Goblin 250. You’ll want to bring the whole family to ‘the Goblin’ because there’s a Kid’s Costume Contest before the race begins at 12:40 pm along with a Kid’s Candy Scramble during the halfway break of ‘the Goblin.’ Gates open at 11 am next Sunday, with the Goblin 250 taking the green at 1 pm. Adult admission is $12, Students ages 12-17 are $8, children 6-11 are $5, while kids 5 and under are free! It’s a fun way to close the curtain on the 2013 racing season, so make it a point to bring the whole family to the Goblin 250 at Rockford Speedway next Sunday afternoon!
