Jimmy Robinson # 33 Orfordville, Wis was the big winner in the Hobby Stox O’Reilly Auto Parts 30 lap feature event.

Matt Lundberg, # 78 Rockford, IL held off Daryl Gerke to win the Goodyear Racing Tire Area Sportsman 50 main event.

LOVES PARK, IL (Sunday, September 30, 2012) – It has been 22 years since Rich Bickle won his first National Short Track Championship. Today, with 37 years of racing under his belt, he can now say that he is a two-time NSTC Champion. Kenny Joosten also won his second Mid-American Series NSTC feature while Austin Nason won both the Gerber Collision Challenge and Late Model Showdown Match Race.

LOVES PARK, IL (Saturday, September 29, 2012) – Jon Reynolds Jr. has a trend going at Rockford Speedway’s National Short Track Championship Big 8 Series 108 feature event. In 2008 and 2010, he won the Saturday night main event. It was only appropriate that he does it again in 2012.

LOVES PARK, IL (Saturday, September 29, 2012) – It was a pair of Bilderbacks at the top of the leaderboard after qualifying ended today for Sunday’s National Short Track Championships Super Late Model 200 at the Rockford Speedway. The Super Lates also had their preliminary races for tomorrow’s showcase event.

LOVES PARK, IL (Friday, September 28, 2012) – The 47th Annual National Short Track Championships got underway on Friday night at Rockford Speedway with six feature events in the record books. The winners included: Mitch Garfield won the Weekly Warrior 47, Johnny Robinson II in the All-American Sportsman, George Sparkman in the American Short Trackers, Bobby Frisch in the RoadRunners, Kyle Stark in the Hornet vs. Bandits, and Josh Thiering in the Figure 8’s.

LOVES PARK, IL (Thursday, September 27, 2012) – It has been about five years since Adam Royle made the trip from Lonsdale, MN to the famous Rockford Speedway for the National Short Track Championships. He will make his return this weekend with the blessing of his kids.

The 47th annual National Short Track Championships will take place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Rockford Speedway. The Championship Round of the Gilley’s Cool 5 Series helps kick off ‘One Great Racing Weekend’ as the Weekly Warrior Late Models, Sportsman, American Short Trackers and RoadRunners battle for over $12,000 in point fund money. Also on the card is the Hornet/Bandit Challenge and the Figure 8 Championship. Racing will begin at 7:07 Friday night, Jon Reynolds, Jr holds a slim five point lead in the GC5 Series standings while Derek Dobbs and Dennis Smith, Jr find themselves tied atop the Figure 8 charts.
