Over 30 BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet limited late models are in the pits right now and they are joined by over 30 super late models as the 44th annual National Short Track Championships are underway with on-track activities. The first session of rotating practice has gotten off to a quick start as all divisions are getting time to warm up to the high-banks of the historic Rockford Speedway. The weather has dried up and the radar's looking clear for the racing program this evening.

Loves Park, IL- The roster of drivers looking to capture the Loves Park Motorsports 108 lap feature this Saturday night October 3 during the 44th annual National Short Track Championships (NSTC) continues to grow. Included in the BRP Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet list are three drivers with seven Rockford Speedway Championships each, three current track champions and rising stars alike.
Loves Park, IL- The fiercest rivalry in the Midwest short track racing scene will be on display October 3 and 4 during the 44th annual National Short Track Championship at Rockford Speedway. Chicagoland Champions Brett Sontag and Eddie Hoffman have both filed entries for the Super Late Model portion of ‘One Great Racing Weekend’.
Loves Park, IL- Entries for the 200 lap Super Late Model National Short Track Championship continue to roll into the Rockford Speedway offices. To date over thirty Super Late Model teams have filed entries for this prestigious event that was first contested in 1966. The event tagged as ‘One Great Racing Weekend’ will feature eleven total divisions October 2, 3 and 4 at the quarter mile paved high banked oval.
Loves Park, IL- Super Late Model entries have begun arriving for the 44th annual National Short Track Championship (NSTC) at Rockford Speedway which begin Friday October 2 and conclude with a 200 lap feature event Sunday afternoon October 4. Those filing their entries early for the prestigious event include 2008 NSTC victor Josh Vadnais, Lowell Bennett, Rich Bickle, Jr. and Jeff Kendall.

LOVES PARK, IL (September 28, 2008) – The 322-mile drive from Loves Park, IL to White Bear Lake, MN will be a fun drive for Josh Vadnais as he realized a dream today by winning the 43rd Annual National Guard National Short Track Championships at Rockford Speedway. Vadnais became the second driver from Minnesota to win the famous event.
