Loves Park, IL (July 21, 2010) The All-Star 100 has a long history at Rockford Speedway, it was first run in 1978 with the ARTGO Series, Dick Trickle won the inaugural event and would go on to win three more times. Other familiar names can be found on the list of past winners including Mark Martin, Bobby Allison, Joe Shear and Ross Kenseth, and 2007 victor Eddie Hoffman who will be competing this Saturday.

Loves Park, IL (July 19, 2010) The 41st annual Grudge Race between Loves Park Police vs. Businessmen will be held at Rockford Speedway this Wednesday. Thirty competitors have entered this family fun event. The racing action will include the races between Police and Businessmen, along with local public figures and elected officials; with a Demolition Derby at the end of the night. The Grudge Race began in 1969 with a total of five cars competing in two races and has since become a fan favorite.

Loves Park, IL (July 14, 2010) It’s another NASCAR Hometown Night at Rockford Speedway, the residents of Belvidere, Cherry Valley, Garden Prairie, Harvard, Hebron and Woodstock, Illinois will receive 2 for 1 admission with proof of residency. The racing action will include Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Budweiser American Short Trackers, Mtn Dew RoadRunners and Super Cups plus the Christmas Tree Race.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 13, 2010) - NASCAR announced today the implementation of a 30-day membership license option for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, a move geared towards helping out competitors who look to become involved during the second half of the season.

The licenses will be available beginning July 15, 2010, at NASCAR Whelen All-American Series sanctioned tracks, and will cover Feature Division, Charger Division, Learners Permits and crew member licenses.

Loves Park, IL (July 7, 2010) The racing action begins at 7:07pm this Wednesday, with the Mtn Dew RoadRunners Super Summer Series, Crap Scrapper Hornets, Winged Women on Wheels, Fig 8, the Law Offices of Kim MacCloskey Spectacular Drags, Legend Cars, Bandoleros, Allison Legacy Cars, and the 2nd Over the Line Wins Race.

Spectacular Drags give spectators the option to bring their own vehicle onto the high banks of the historic ¼ mile track. So far this racing season everything from Corvettes to Pick-up Trucks to the Littlefield Siding Box Van have competed in the Spec Drags.

Loves Park, IL (July 7, 2010) Due to heavy rains the racing action at Rockford Speedway has been canceled for Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Tickets for the Rockford Industrial Welding Supply Hospitality event will be honored Wednesday July 28. The racing action will resume this Saturday with the Bobcat of Rockford Mid-Summer’s Night Scream.
