Loves Park, IL (May 7, 2010) Stateline Staffing Services of South Beloit, Illinois has become the official sponsor of the Rockford Speedway Dash series. The Stateline Staffing Services dash takes place during every NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event, featuring the top drivers in every division in a six lap shoot out. The top 5 drivers in final dash series points for the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Budweiser American Short Trackers, and Mtn Dew RoadRunners will receive over $3,000 in cash bonuses at season’s end.

Loves Park, IL (May 12, 2010) Rockford Speedway and Q98.5 will give race fans the opportunity to sign the high flyin’ school bus before it makes it’s jump on Saturday May 15 at the Speedway. Fans can sign their name on the doomed school bus for a $2 donation between 5:00pm and 7:07pm Saturday night with proceeds going to St. Jude’s Research.

Around Rockford Speedway Rob Goodman is known as the driver of the #78 Bargain Hunter Sportsman car. What many may not know is that he splits his time between the historic ¼ mile track in Loves Park and tracks across the country as part of the crew of a NASCAR Nationwide team. Goodman is a key component to the crew at Danny Efland Racing, he serves as a mechanic and tire carrier on the #07. The 34-year-old driver also works at a Cadillac dealership in the parts department. Goodman grew up in Glenview, Illinois and began his racing career at the age of 23.

Loves Park, IL (May 5, 2010) Rockford Speedway kicks off the first of several NASCAR Hometown Nights on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 7:07pm. Residents of Caledonia, IL 61011, Capron, IL 61012, and Poplar Grove, IL 61065 are invited to the speedway for a night of racing action. Residents from those townships will enjoy 2 for 1 admission with proof of residency. May 15 is also Kids Night, any child age 11 and under from any zip code will be admitted free.

Loves Park, IL (Friday May 7, 2010) NASCAR Day will be celebrated at Rockford Speedway on Saturday May 15, 2010. Fans can help celebrate NASCAR Day by making a $5 donation for a collectible lapel pin at the ticket gate at Rockford Speedway. By wearing the NASCAR Day pin this Saturday Night spectators will receive $2 off of their adult admission ticket.

Due to unseasonably frigid temperatures and incoming showers expected tonight, the May 8 event at Rockford Speedway has been cancelled. Racing action will resume next Saturday night featuring the NASCAR Stanley Steemer Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Mt Dew RoadRunners, Super Cups, Sam's Drive-In Smokey Burnouts plus the School Bus Jump and kid's candy scramble.

Loves Park, IL- After a mid-race incident sent race leader Alex Papini to the back of the field last Saturday Night during Rockford Speedway’s 63rd Season Opener, opinions have been stated and restated in regards to the split second on-track call made by officials. Some feel it was the right call, others think it was a horrible call, regardless the race resumed. An eventual black flag would end the young driver’s night and hopes of collecting his first feature win. The 2008 Rookie of the Year will return to action this Saturday night to prove his critics wrong and thank his supporters.
