LOVES PARK, IL (Wednesday, July 8, 2009) - Due to constant rain at the Rockford Speedway, combined with unseasonably cool temperatures, Speedway officials have decided to cancel tonight’s Equipment Depot Petrol-Palooza Wild Wednesday program. Local radar indicated this system would not move out of the area until just after race time.

Racing action will resume this Saturday night with the Cricket Wireless Mid-Summer’s Night Scream. Wild Wednesday racing continues next Wednesday night. For more information visit www.rockfordspeedway.com.

LOVES PARK, IL. (Wednesday, July 1, 2009) – Ricky Nielson put together a solid run and crossed the finish line second to Charlie Frisch, only to pick up his first Mtn Dew RoadRunner Super Summer Series tonight after Frisch was disqualified after failing post-race inspection at the Rockford Speedway. Nielson led the first 21 laps of the feature when Frisch moved past him for first, only to see himself collect the trophy 20 minutes later. Allen Bekielewski, Mark Hayes, Cory Cootware, Olivia Chance, Tom Schneider and Adam Rawsky all collected feature wins as well.

Loves Park, IL, June 28 - Art Speciale of Bartlett, collected his first Midwest Enduro Stock Car Series win of the season during the running of the "MAC TOOLS 250" enduro held at the Rockford Speedway. Speciale took the lead at the 85-lap marker and remained in the top position for the rest of the 250-lap affair for the win.

Speciale was the overall winner and first in the "A" Class over Tom Ruh. First in the "B" Class was Jason Lange over Mike Watson.

LOVES PARK, IL. (Sunday, June 28, 2009) – The Midwest Enduro Series makes their way to Rockford today for the ‘Mac Tools 250’ enduro. The big cars, including some of Rockford’s own Mtn Dew RoadRunners, will try and finish 250 laps around the quarter-mile to bring home the win. There will also be a 125 lap small car enduro and a 15 lap powder puff race.

LOVES PARK, IL. (Saturday, June 27, 2009) – Rockford Speedway was forced to cancel the Mtn Dew Mid-Season Championships due to impending inclement weather that was scheduled to come through the area. Scout Night at the Rockford Speedway has been rescheduled from tonight to Saturday, July 18th. All tickets purchased for tonight’s events will be honored next July 3 or July 18.

LOVES PARK, IL (Wednesday, June 24, 2009) – Chargin’ Charlie Frisch made a late race pass on Joe LaMarca to pick up the win in the Mtn Dew RoadRunners Super Summer Series feature event tonight at the Rockford Speedway. Nick Lasher picked up his second straight victory in the 15-lap Crap Scrappers Hornet swarm. Cory Cootware, Tom Schneider, Robin Ulrey, Dwight Dunlap and Adam Rawski also collected feature victories.

Loves Park, IL- Defending Rockford Speedway Champion Jerry Gille challenged his distant competitors from neighboring tracks, stating that “Rockford has the best drivers.” following his feature triumph earlier this month. This did not fall on deaf ears however, causing the rivalry between the two tracks to intensify after Gille’s comments were made known at Jefferson Speedway’s drivers meeting one week later. As the 2009 running of the Goodyear Stateline Challenge approaches, both fans and drivers of the two Midwest ovals are preparing for a short track showdown.
