LOVES PARK, IL. (Tuesday, July 28, 2009) - Rockford Speedway veteran Ryan Carlson was released from Rockford Memorial Hospital Monday night, following a three car accident on Saturday at the quarter-mile paved oval. A caution just past the halfway mark of the ASA Late Model Series North 'All-Star 100' resulted in Carlson’s machine catapulting off the front wheel of Canadian Jordan Sims’ stock car. Carlson was resting at his residence early Tuesday, nursing a fractured vertebrae in his back.

LOVES PARK, IL. (Saturday, July 25, 2009) -- It’s been said that Rockford Speedway can separate the ‘men from the boys.’ With its high banks and tight quarter mile set up, the famed northern Illinois facility has been known to humble some of the countries best racers from time to time. But also, it is a place where the drivers who can win there are the drivers who can win anywhere.

It’s safe to say you can add Ross Kenseth to the second category.

LOVES PARK, IL. (Saturday, July 25, 2009) -- Consistency has been the name of the game over the last several years for Bargain Hunter Sportsman driver Fred Nason. Consistent finishes coupled with multiple wins has made the driver from Roscoe very hard to beat during the course of the season in the class. This year however, Nason has had to rely solely on consistency as he found himself winless heading to the end of July at the Rockford Speedway.

But after Saturday night, Nason was winless no more.
