Loves Park, IL- Entries for the 200 lap Super Late Model National Short Track Championship continue to roll into the Rockford Speedway offices. To date over thirty Super Late Model teams have filed entries for this prestigious event that was first contested in 1966. The event tagged as ‘One Great Racing Weekend’ will feature twelve total divisions October 1, 2 and 3 at the quarter mile paved high banked oval, featuring the region’s only four barrel Super Late Model Event.

Loves Park, IL(September 13, 2010) Rockford Speedway while known for its traditional short track racing is also quite skilled at putting on non-racing shows. This Saturday’s events are sure to entertain people of all ages, with some unconventional forms of entertainment. Things that should never be done to cars will be done, they’ll be flipped, crashed and burned. Spectators will have a chance to race on the historic high banks during the Spectacular drags.

Loves Park, IL (September 8, 2010) All season long at Rockford Speedway, drivers and their teams have been working tirelessly for wins and the biggest win of all is upon them. The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Championships will be determined this Saturday for all four regular Saturday divisions. For some it’s clear who will be taking the Championship title home with them for most it’s still up in the air.

Loves Park, IL (September 8, 2010) For 45 years Rockford Speedway has hosted the National Short Track Championships, a staple in Midwest short track racing. Many big name drivers have made a name for themselves during the three day extravaganza, including Mark Martin, 2010 Daytona 500 Champion Jamie McMurray, Dick Trickle, and Travis Kvapil.
