LOVES PARK, IL (Saturday, April 26, 2008) – Ryan Carlson and his crew had a busy week. After being involved in a hard wreck last week, he came back tonight to capture the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Model win at Rockford Speedway.

Chris Gantz, Ricky Nielsen, Tim Melvin, and John Zellinga also took home feature wins.

Brett McCoy was the early leader in the 30-lap main event. Carlson, who was the evening’s fast qualifier, started his charge to the front from the eighth starting position.

LOVES PARK, IL (Thursday, April 24, 2008) – The 61st season of weekly racing is underway at Rockford Speedway. The action continues this Saturday night with NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action.

Joining the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, NASCAR All-American Sportsman, Budweiser American Short Trackers, and Coca-Cola RoadRunners will be the FIRA/Rascal Outlaw Challenge and the Popeye’s Mini-Grand Prix.

A top notch field of cars and warm early spring weather greeted the fans at Rockford Speedway Saturday night as the 61st season of weekly racing commenced on the famed quarter-mile oval.

The night's feature events included some flashbacks to 2007, with some of last years top drivers regaining their championship form, as well as a new winner gracing the speedway's victory lane for the first time.

LOVES PARK, IL (Wednesday, April 16, 2008) – Last year, it came down to the final lap, but it will continue into 2008 as “The People’s Champion” Jerry Gille will be looking for seven-time defending track champion, Ricky Bilderback, and will attempt to remove him from his throne. Gille’s quest will start this Saturday night with the 61st Annual Coca-Cola Season Opener for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at Rockford Speedway.

Wednesday, February 6, 2007 (Loves Park, IL) – Rockford Speedway officials have announced the tentative schedule for the 61st season of racing. The season will begin on Sunday, April 6 and conclude on Sunday, October 19th with a similar theme, a four-cylinder enduro.

The track will open on Saturday, April 5th with an open practice for all divisions starting at noon. It will also be the annual media day. The first racing event will take place on Sunday, April 6 with a 200-lap four-cylinder enduro starting at 1 p.m.

Saturday, September 08, 2007 (Loves Park, IL) – A great crowd was on hand for the Budweiser Night of Thrills presented by LaMonica Beverages. Along with the wild events, the Crap Scrapper Hornet division had their championship night and the Auto Soccer World Championships was decided on this great night.

Mangiaracina grabbed the lead on the second lap of the 15-lap feature event from Justin Pearson.

Monday, September 03, 2007 (Loves Park, IL) – Both Fred Nason and BJ Sparkman repeated a feat that each accomplished in 2005. Both would each collect their second championship, and at the same time take home a feature win. Vinny Mangiaracina, Alex Areleno, Vern Fagerberg, Bobby Yonke, Jeff Myers and Camden Murphy also took home feature wins on Yellowbook Monday Funday at the Rockford Speedway.

Saturday, September 01, 2007 (Loves Park, IL) – The battle for the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Model championship literally came down to the final lap with Ricky Bilderback capturing the win and his seventh straight championship over Jerry Gille. Also, Charlie Frisch took home the Coca-Cola Roadrunner championship while Tim Melvin narrowed BJ Sparkman’s lead in the Budweiser American Short Tracker division.
